Fall Means? Anniversary! {3 Years}

Hey all,

Fall is always an awesome time. Brillant colors in the trees, pumpkin flavored/scented everything, and Thanksgiving quickly approaching.

But Fall is important for another reason. Today is another super special day! It’s S and I’s 3rd anniversary! 10-10-09. Can you believe it? Three years ago, we were dancing and enjoying our special day. And now, it’s three years later and we’re planning a special dinner. Yummy, yummy, I’m super excited! Not to mention that three years ago, who would have thought we would move back from Columbia to our hometown, start jobs, adopt a sweet pup, and buy our first home? We’ve had a BUSY three years for sure!

Look at us, we look like babies! And we DIY-ed the church decor (since they didn’t allow much). Thanks to Mom who hand tied those bows!

We got married at the church where my parents were married and I was baptized. Keepin’ it in the family!

Then we walked down the street and partied with our family and friends in my grandparents backyard.

See? Rocking group of family and friends. This is probably one of my favorite pictures from the day.

I just love that we really tried to make the day our own. Though the ceremony was very traditional, the reception was all us. We had soups in mini-martini glasses with tiny grilled cheeses (for me) and sliders or kabobs of chicken (for S). We opted to skip the big wedding cake for several flavors of cupcakes (pumpkin, lemon, and red velvet). Our baker was also our caterer, and she baked us a super big cupcake topped with my parents’ wedding topper, which I painted the hair to match us instead of my parents. We had a jazz trio play live music and while they were on their breaks played selections from our iPod. Our hot cider bar was AWESOME and our centerpieces were just simple mason jars with hydrangeas. Plus, all of our pictures were AMAZING. We really lucked out with the people we chose. What an awesome day. I’m just so happy to be celebrating three years! Here’s to many more busy and exciting years, days full of laughter, and lots of love!

Hugs and kisses for many years to come!

Here are some super people that helped make our day so wonderful (besides our awesomely supportive family and friends):

Gourmet Catering With Paula: Yummy, yummy food and drink. She was just fantastic!

Stacy Richardson Photography:¬†GORGEOUS, stunning wedding photography. She’s award winning and it’s no surprise!

The Organized Bride: Our wedding planner, day-of consultant, AND where we got all the paper/invitations from. One stop shop and definitely a stress free helper for the big day!

Jamie, Senior Stylist at Belleza: She’s been my right-hand hairstylist, through proms and homecomings. I couldn’t imagine using anyone else!

Ory Custom Florals: He really knocked it out of the park. An ivy draping for the fronts of the house and the iron gateways, the flowers for the whole wedding party, AND simple floral arrangements for the table.
